3. Usage Notes for KSEM Drill Bits:
Tool Life Monitoring: After drilling approximately 60–65 meters, closely inspect the insert's wear. Operating with an overly worn insert can cause severe damage to the drill body (shank).
Coolant Management: Change the coolant/lubricant according to different workpiece materials to ensure optimal temperature control and tool longevity.
Recommended Cutting Speed (Vc): While the maximum Vc is 120 for Steel and 90 for Stainless Steel, the ideal parameters are as follows:
For Wet Machining (Flood Coolant):
- Steel: Group P1 = 110, Group P2 = 95, Group P3 = 70.
- Stainless Steel: Group M1 = 60, Group M2 = 50, Group M3 = 40
For Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL):
- Steel: Group P1 = 70, Group P2 = 60, Group P3 = 65.
